This year, thanks to the lockout ... we had really great (NHL) players here. Some adjusted very well in terms of goals and assists (Seguin, Tavares ... ) others were less effective.

Yet a coach was commenting that the style is definitely different. Most of them were considered as liablilities defensively. It seems that the swiss style of forwards implies more defensive responsibilities.

Other than that, all the forwards mentioned correspond to a period of time where many D went the same route !

Then the Swiss had great goalies for some time (Aebischer, Gerber ... now Hiller) ... after what came some D's (Streit, Sbisa), now we will certainly see forwards. (Nino, Bartschi ... some others are cooking in NA CHL or here in Switzerland)

I do not believe that their is a major curse on Swiss forwards. It simply hapend like that ... and selective memory rounds the corner to make the image "clearer".
