The main problem with that group is that none of them stand out (to me) as a legitimate top three defenseman potentially.

Emelin I like, but I question the label that he's overly aggressive and a terrific open-ice hitter... from what I've seen, he bounces off a lot of his targets.

Cote's nice, but his skating is a problem and will be exposed. If he makes it, and I think he should, it will be as a pure depth defenseman. Should be valuable though: he's a shot-blocking type.

O'Byrne's a decent skater, but not all that special other than his size.

Fischer ... the one aspect to Fischer that has me concerned is his stature. He's very, very thin. It doesn't look like he has the frame to fill out and get all that thick to me. Hopefully I'm wrong.
