I like the Flyers draft. The change in philosophy to skill & skating, what ever the size, physical ability while staying committed to high character, competitive personalities is great to see. While getting Bobby S with the 22nd pick would have been nice it seems as if moving up was expensive. In a draft with so many players grouped together under the “decent, but not sure thing” category having multiple picks to increase your chance of picking the right ones from that group is a solid plan. They also addressed system needs with skill on the wing and blue line and a couple of long range goal prospects. Over all a solid if not flashy draft. Grade B.
