I have thought the same thing. Its a bad time to make the change, on top of a new coach and a new system. But its up to Oates to green light it and he did. Of course, he thinks his new system is simple to learn, I am sure.

And I still think its the right move, no pun intended.

Last game Ovi had 4-5 classic Ovi LW rushes. They were all stuffed just inside the blue. We all saw it, the puck didnt get below the hash. I think its too early to try to go back to that as the staple play of our offense.

Conversely, on his lines only goal, Ovi circled from behind the net on his forehand, hit nick on his forehand, for a nice looking goal founded in quality passing. For all of the chemistry between the 2, I have not seen simple plays like that from that pair often enough.
