Yeah, I've got Griffey ranked as being the third-best centre fielder ever all the way down down to seventh. Injuries and the period in which he played, a tremendously offensive era in which PED use was rampant - although it bears noting that Junior was never once linked to them and has always been viewed as a completely natural talent - make evaluating his career a tad less definitive than would otherwise be the case.

He was certainly the best player of the 1990s along with Bonds though, without hesitation. Prodigious power and plate discipline, excellent contact hitter, and enough range to transverse the Serengetti alone. Just a remarkable talent in every respect. I've always considered his 1997 and 1998 seasons to be arguably both top five ever from a centre-fielder. They are Mantle-esque in their brilliance offensively and Junior was only exceeded by Mays defensively at his position.
