It seems like the people behind that Gyrostim thing claim that Crosby spent 4 days on it too and they seem to be taking some of the credit for getting back on the ice:

As far as Pronger goes, I really just wish people without medical degrees would stop speculating about him or saying medically incorrect things like "1 more hit and he's done". If Pronger is ever symptom free again, his doctors will advise him on what his prospects are and then he'll make a decision. In all likelihood though, unless he actually has permanent brain damage (which hasn't been reported and would likely prevent him from ever clearing a physical exam anyway), then the risk of Pronger being significantly injured from another hit would be about the same as any other NHL player.

Whether Pronger perceives that risk as being worth it or not is anyone's guess, but the quack medical opinions being expressed in every thread about Pronger are too much for me to take. Please, before posting anything about Pronger's chances of reinjury or saying "1 more hit and he's done", go do some actual research on concussions.
