The fact that he lets in softies and is inconsistent is why he's a mediocre goalie at this level. I mentioned the D being weak because I think with a competent defensive unit, Dubnyk's save percentage would be closer to ~ .910, rather than an abysmal .884.
Point is, team could be heading to the third period 0-0 against say Vancouver, going neck and neck and even though by that point, Dubnyk has made 30 saves, he'll let in a softy that deflates the team. Thats the problem. Blame all the D you want but players like Luongo, Quick, Lundqvist, they are good because they have the talent, not rely on others.
