How I make it.
A lot of fries, a lot of cheese and a lot of gravy. I'm not sure why, but I really enjoy Swiss Chalet's gravy mix in a pack.
Once the fries are cooked to the point they're a little crispy, you throw some on your plate, a little gravy and some cheese. Let it melt, more fries, more cheese and gravy, melt, fries, gravy and cheese. The top won't melt well and the bottom might be a little cold, so I put the plate (yes, the plate) in the oven for about 30 seconds. Gets the cheese melted and the bottom/plate warm.
It's great in the winter time when it's a little cold out. Warms everything up. Throw in a cold pop, or beer and you're good to go.
I also add Janes chicken strips to it. Cut them up and throw them on top, or just wait till the end and use it to clean up the extra cheese and gravy.
