This has likely been discussed numerous times, but the only fit I can see in the western conference offhand is Colorado. Would a deal around O'Reilly and Kessel benefit both teams? I'm not suggesting straight up necessarily, however I feel this could be a pretty decent core of a deal.

Benefits for Toronto:
-O'Reilly is slightly younger and if Toronto were to rebuild like OP suggests, would fit a bit better in the younger core.
-He would fit much better in Carlyle's system.
-Leafs find their center, and have a chance to draft another high-end winger in the draft.

Benefits for Colorado:
-Kessel is the superior player in terms of offense and would be a nice fit on a line with Matt Duchene or Paul Stastny
-I may be off on this completely so bare with me, but last time I watched the Avs they were playing a uptempo highspeed game and Kessel may benefit in that system much like he did with the Leafs last year.

Like I said, I haven't watched the Avalanche in a while, but this is just a thought.
