I thought Couturier has been excellent. It took him one or two games to readjust to the NHL's speed, but now he's picked up where he left off last season.

Schenn has been a bit disappointing, but he's still young. Holmgren's mistake was to thrust him onto the first line rather than shelter him behind other players so he can develop without unreasonable expectations. It reminds me of 2006, when people were predicting Carter and Richards would dominate with Kyle Calder.
