yeah, with OEL, I'm projecting into the future (look at his Corsi delQoC), whereas with Lidstrom and Pronger, I was looking back to the past. Edler's defense is still a WIP, he has the checking ability and the offense, but not the positional awareness of a gamebreaker. I see Pietrangelo and Doughty have that MacInnis/Bourque/Lidstrom thing where they know exactly where the play is going to go before it happens. Whereas, Edler is still chasing alot, thats the part of the game thats keeping him from being a "gamebreaker" imho.
