If the Capitals bomb out of the play-offs this year and Neuvy and Holtby are not as good as they've been in previous years. McPhee would be ill-advised not to look at bringing in Luongo. Not at the cost of Backstrom (or in reality any of the top 6 forwards) but if he can get him for a cap dump (ie. Ward) and a very good prospect (Forsberg) he should at least consider it.
When it comes to the playoffs, Luongo couldn't even hold Roy's jockstrap.
