No.
I don't hate the Oilers. I hate their general fan base. Not any specific members of their fan base and not every single fan of the Oilers. I just, in general, hate Oilers fans.

I think you make a good argument as I probably enjoy "So Cold" slightly more than "Diary of Jane". I've been very big on "Without You" recently.
