Just like the Wild was the best team in the league last year, right? Guess Suter's not winning the January Norris.

I like Suter with Brodin. At first we thought Suter would be a nice crutch for his D partner, but he's still adjusting and getting confidence. Remember how hit and miss Gilbert was last year? Suter gets a steady D partner in Brodin who can skate and move the puck. Gilbert will bail out Stoner who has brick hands, Scandy and Falk are each okay with the puck. Kind of ties in with my "stack the forwards, balance the D" theory.

With Spurge back, I might like to see:

Suter - Spurgeon
Gilbert - Brodin
Scandy - Falk/Stoner

Roll those pairings, bias the ice time for the first two, don't make anyone play 30 minutes.
