They are letting him develop as he missed most all of last year with an injury.
He has issues with taking stupid penalties sure but from what I've heard re his development this year coupled with my gut instinct is that he will find a place in the NHL and hopefully with the Hawks.

Heck I think if he was put on line 1 with Hoss and Toews he would be putting up similar numbers as Kassian is with the Sedins.

Exactly. One day Beach will get his head right enough to play in the NHL. And if/when he does he will prove many people wrong.
