And TBH, I wasn't expecting a lights out performance from the man right off the bat. He didn't play competitively in Europe, he was recently married and just had a child. I'm sure his mind was elsewhere during the off season, and he simply didn't have the preparation he normally would.

Lundqvist has been so-so this season, and inconsistent at points, but he's always the last player I'll worry about on the team. If he has an off season, so be it. He hasn't had one yet in his career, and for an athlete playing as long as he has at this point, that's rare.
