someone in one of the other predic threads said it would be interesting to run a proxy on this (i.e what would happen if the same combination was predicted for every single game in the season...how would that combination work out). the stats background in me has decided that would be interesting to find out...so i propose to (along with my own predictions) do a secondary prediction where i use the same combination for every single game...and see how "phony/proxy account" does over the season.
the combination i propose to use is
My Total Season Points so far: 0
1. First goal scorer: Toews (2 points)
2. Winning team: Hawks, 3-2 (1 points - 2 points if you guess the correct score as well as the winning team)
3. 3 stars of the game (based on NHL.com): Toews, Hossa, Kane (1 point per star)
I didn't pick the ^^ on the basis of previous games this year - i just made it up b/c I think toews, kane, hossa are our best players - and 3-2 seems like a predictable score. I'll keep up the phony/proxy account myself (and go back and calculate the score) - but if anyone thinks the above uniform predictions should be altered let me know.
