99 times out of 100 nothing bad happens in that situation and we don't care and life goes on. The one time something bad happens, it's silly to go back and talk like it was the easiest thing in the world to do something different or know how to perfectly play the situation so that not only does Callahan not get hurt but he diffuses any attempt by the Flyers to gain momentum, etc etc. Callahan did what nearly every player in the NHL would do in the same situation, there was just an unfortunate result this time
You have a point here, but if you'll notice, I've said nothing about the injury. Sure, its the reason we're talking about it so much, but I still think it'd been awfully stupid to do a 5 minute Callahan/Talbot trade-off when we have the lead.
