The problem with our situation last summer was that we traded away a lot of valuable cap (Staal, Michalek) to get them. Because we didn't, we were left with a weaker team. I think we can afford Perry if we make some smart offseason deals.
Say we do grab Malone at the deadline and get rid of Kunitz
