Toews started skating on March 7th, didn't play a game until April 12th. Granted thats a concussion and not a shoulder injury but the point is, skating does not mean your return is imminent.
Oh I know, and that only goes even more so for a guy like Kesler who had shoulder and wrist surgery... where he obviously isn't trying to test out a knee, ankle, groin, etc injury.
