Agreed Bookman. The entire PacNW is the American mecca of craftbrews IMO. I'm envious I miss Seattle.
I don't remember if I posted awhile back touting the deliciousness of a brew I discovered during a two hour layover in Portland Airport on my way to visit the parents. Laurelwood Brewing Co's Mother Lode Golden Ale. They had their own bar there with a beautiful, and very cool bartender. $4.50 or something for a pint, which threw me off as I was expecting a $7-8 price range. Apparently there is some Oregon law airports can not jack up the prices of food and drink. Tastiest beer I ever had. Needless to say by the time I was boarding my flight I was pretty tatered. So the lessons to be taken from my not so concise anecdote:
1). Get drunk at PDX
2). If you are going to get beer drunk in between flights. Make sure you have an aisle seat. Thankfully I always do.
3). Be sure it's your cool drinking Father and not your sweet, but square Mother that picks you up at your final destination.
