Most fans seated around him will chuckle, though you may hear another fan somewhere on the other side of the rink echo the taunt.

It's an awkward dynamic.
I just tell my 8 year old son before a game that he's going to hear some bad words, and that if I ever catch him repeating them he's toast. I'm there to have fun and watch a game, not to be some sort of profanity watchdog.
