/\ Both Wild goals came directly from lost face offs. Technically Kruger won the draw on the one goal, but Shaw got outhustled to the loose puck. Those stats are interesting but obviously not all face-offs are equal. We tend to lose a lot of the important ones. There's no denying that.

As for the team's grittiness: I've noticed quite an improvement for the most part and when Carcillo returns, that should help further. We were "charmin" soft last year. But yeah, it's still an issue that will likely get more obvious as the teams begin to hit their stride.

Knock on wood, Crawford has been better but I still think netminding is our biggest vulnerability. The condensed schedule will reward the teams with strong goaltending from both their #1 and #2.
