I'm just arguing your assumption that there's no hockey fans in the area. There's plenty. The difference in driving from Milwaukee to Green Bay and driving from Portland to Seattle is about 50 minutes. Not to mention I'm not saying one goes from downtown Portland straight to Seattle. My point is all the surrounding populous supports their teams, so the populous between Portland and Seattle should theoretically support the Seattle team. I think there will be plenty of people who make the trip.

Also, where are you getting these CHL attendance numbers?
