Jones, I see Jones as the next Pronger, so leaning to MacKinnon says alot.
But skill and work ethic doesn't mean he should go over Jones, who's arguably the best defensive prospect since Pronger (But could be passed next year with Ekblad...) MacKinnon is in the mold of a Taylor Hall, reckless, speed demon, highly skilled, great work ethic but without elite level hockey sense. It's still on a high level but it's not elite like a Tavares.
People criticize Jones' hockey sense, but I don't see why. He's got elite hockey sense and an all-aroud game not seen since Pronger. He's got the potential to be a 15-50 defensemen, with elite level defense and solid physical play. I've never been as sure about a defensive prospect before.
