No offense, but that seems like a ridiculous premise. Who would spend a couple hundred million dollars on a team if their best case scenario right off the bat, when they should be a nice and hot new thing raking in the dough, would be to just not lose as much money as Phoenix?
Plus, the NHL of today is very, very different from the NHL that saw the Senators and Sharks come into play, not to mention with very different economic realities on, and off, the ice.
Would you be willing to slum it for 2 years, if you know by the end OC the 2 years you would move into a palatial estate?
Someone like levin who says Seattle is the best untapped market right now and that he would do whatever it takes to get a team there, including playing in key arena
