I'd rather have the guy get a chance to make it happen elsewhere if it wasn't going to happen here as he seems like a good guy and was well liked. The Canes have been on the other side of the equation with guys like Jussi Jokinen and Tlusty (traded for Philipe Paridis once Rutherford realized it was a god awful pick).
