I never got to watch Bourque play a lot so I won't comment but I find it difficult to believe that he'd have Karlsson beat on any of these other than physicality.
You can't be serious.

The fact you're even mentioning him in the same sentence as Lidstrom shows either what a homer you are, or how little you've seen of Lidstrom... Karlsson is average at best defensively; a key component in being a defenseman.

Lidstrom could do it all.. Karlsson is a high risk high reward player with elite offensive ability. Lidstrom almost never made a mistake, Karlsson makes mistakes and untimely turnovers on a nightly basis. Anderson has been great the past two seasons and minimized Karlsson's 'low-lite' reel.

Karlsson even in the same category as Lidstrom? You're too funny!
