Halpern has really been a HUGE surprise for me. I knew he was good on face-offs and a decent defensive center but the guy has very quick feet and is a very good skater. On top of that he is physical when he needs to be and fits in perfectly on the PK.

I know Mitchell is off to a hot start in Colorado but I would take Halpern over Mitchell from what I have seen so far.
I know he's more than a tough guy. That is why I expected more of him. Whereas I thought Halpern was excellent vs TB, I wasn't overly impressed with Asham. I might have to watch it again now.

Like I don't spend enough time watching hockey as it is. Thanks alot NYRB
