It's going to grind down. He should be back in another game or two. Not tomorrow, but 1-2 after that. He's definitely not going to need surgery for it. I've had two bone chips in my right ankle. One originating from the foot, another that was nastier from the side of the ankle. Both took care of themselves with rest from vigorous activity. The worse of the two I had the option of surgery with but was advised that it wasn't necessary and to just really give it enough time to take care of itself. If they were going to consider surgery with Kreider it already would have been done. He's been skating. The whole thing will be resolved shortly.
