Not really. Murray and now Sutter both believe that their starting goaltenders need to play a vast majority of the games and over-rely on them. To say the Kings won't start Bernier because they have no confidence in him is just wrong.

Quick has played well, and the Kings have had an abundance of rest time in between games which is why they are one of the teams that have played the fewest. Murray and Sutter only believed in using Bernier when there are a rapid succession of starts or back-to-back occasions because that's what they believe the role entailed via old school mentality.

I agree that he hasn't proven anything, but to say it's all over for him because the Kings play him once every couple of months would be equally as ignorant as saying he is a future franchise starter. The kid isn't being played because Quick is rested and Sutter believes that when your starter is rested, he needs to play.
