Exactly. Khabarovsk is too isolated. The KHL will almost certainly attempt (or at least look into) an expansion into Japan, South Korea and possibly China.
I think what would make most sense would be:
Maybe even a team in Ust-Kamenogorsk/Oskemen would be able to play in that division. The way it stands now though, Khabarovsk needs a division with teams somewhere remotely close to their location. The travel must be devestating to the players and their families. Creating a Far East division would be a good move for the KHL if they can find funding, IMO.
