He wasn't a world beater last night, but he WAS effective and created chances while on the PP.
While I would be surprised that he stays the WHOLE year, I am not surprised if he gets a longer look than 5 games...assuming he continues to play well
Yeah, as people said before, he played a similar game to what Dubinsky used to do a couple of years ago. Handled the puck quite a bit and made good decisions, threw hits, was strong along the boards, and got back to break up rushes and play defense. He made at least one really good play backchecking and tying up/taking the puck away from a Devils players that was streaking to the net
As always, the key for young players is consistency, so over 5 games they'll see if he can do it game in and game out and then make a decision. He looked real solid though
