I agree with the poster who mentionned that it was a little like an Ovechkin/Malkin situation, obviously not comparing their talent levels, just the situation. I'm curious what would have happened had Galchenyuk not gotten injured in his draft year. Would the Oilers still have taken Yakupov? If yes, would the Blue Jackets have taken Galcheyuk second?

Anyways, both Yakupov and Galchenyuk are great talents, you can't go wrong with either one. I doubt the Oilers are regretting their decision right now.
