I think the only moves we'll see this year will be very minor.

I can see Boyes or Visnovsky being traded at the deadline if the Isles aren't close to a playoff spot, but I think they will "seem like" they are in the hunt by then.

I HOPE they re-sign Nabokov for another year. They need him. He's been great for this team.

I HOPE they re-sign Striet. I know many of you dump on him but we'd be pure STUPID to NOT bring this guy back. The world is FILLED with players that SNUB this team, we have a very solid NHL dman, our captain, who may have his ups and downs but to get rid of him would be ABSURD. Especially given it's our weakest position.

I expect them to re-sign Bailey, Hamonic and Ullstrom.

And not much else.

I'm HOPING they manage to bring in TWO top UFAs, a forward and a defenseman, but I'm not holding my breath. I've seen this episode before.
