Stepan, McDonagh, Hagelin are RFAs. And due raises.
The following summer:
Richards and Nash are under contract for the foreseeable future. At 6.667 and 7.8 respectively.
Not to mention the rest of the roster that needs to be filled.
Pray tell where the cap space is coming from?
Gaborik will turn 32 next season. With a long history of injuries, inconsistent effort, and no one knows what he will demand on the market. "Sign for less" may not be an option. Maximizing his value by netting a return IS an option.
