Ironically, there was a recent thread (week old?) that asked to rank Kesler/Richards/Duchene/Staal. I'll give you one guess who dominated it.
The only scenario Richards trumps Kesler is if the latter cannot bounce back from his injuries. The Cup defense is nonsense, otherwise Montreal is the best team in the league and has been for the past few decades. Why? Twenty-four cups. No team is better. It's a pointless straw man. Winning the Stanley Cup does not abruptly increase your skill.
