I'd worry about Kessel's new contract in 2014. While the leafs could retain some salary on his current $5.4m per contract, the isles would be on their own paying his new contract. He's rumored to be looking for $7m-$8m per. I'm not even sure the isles would go $6m per.

As you point out, Kessel is one-dimensional. Yrs after leaving Boston with that rep, he's still weak defensively and avoids physical play.
