If the value is less than you'd be willing to take, then you could also place him "For Sale" for the minimum you'd be willing to accept.
As a quick comparable:
is the same age and CL and has 6 more OR. His qualities are most likely lower than your players and he only plays on the right side.
His for sale price is 10M. If he doesn't receive any bids, then you can assume that he's not worth 10M on the market. If he does get a bid, then your player should be worth more than we Loucks eventually sells for.
