LOL, one model guidance (THE NAM) has a system developing over Central US, gaining in intensity, and dumping a foot of snow on the metro area Friday into next Saturday. If the system stalls, which is one possibility out of many, some areas could see 20 + inches next weekend. Now, this is all contingent on the path and track intensity. These are hard to guess this far out.

It looks like winter is here to stay now.

OT - Any chance we could create a weather thread where weather bufs like myself can continue to update the masses with weather? Just a thought.

It seems as if TWC has already named the storm Orco, and they have it tracking too far North, and instead making it a big rain event for the weekend into Monday. That's great news, although I don't trust them as of yet.
