Another point about the offense. The biggest difference between the last 4 games and our sluggish start is puck possession. While we haven't put up big time numbers in terms of shots, our zone possession is much much much much much better than it was earlier in the year. When we get the puck in the zone, we have been able to keep it there for more than 10 seconds, which was a big problem early on. I've noticed fewer turnovers at the blue line and a more effective forecheck. We might have a few more shots if people like Legwand and Erat didn't try to pass the ****ing puck through a D man on a breakaway. They may have not had great looks at the net, but there's a much better chance of sniping one than getting the puck through a D man in perfect position. Grrr.

And as I have stated before, one thing that is hurting our shots/possession is some poor D zone possession, which is plainly playing with fire. We've allowed a couple of teams to have powerplay-like possession at even strength, and that is unacceptable.

The offense looks more like normal (certainly not perfect)...the defense looks like its still a bit rusty (both forwards and D).
