has played even better as a shutdown defender this year.
So while I doubt he wins, I don't think his name is out of place as a contender.
Debatable how much better he is year, and he lacks the offense to really belong in the conversation. CHL Defenseman of the year should at least be a somewhat two way guy.
I'm starting to lean Sproul, kid is just dominating.
