Two part interview with Mathieu Darche and Jaroslav Spacek. In the first part Dave flies Mathieu to Montreal and they dine at Brasserie T! in Place des Arts and enjoy the lamb chops with rosemary rub and discuss exactly when Mathieu knew his wife was the one Dave responds in kind about his own relationship and marriage and then, off the record, Darche speaks about the lockerroom last year, his cheese eating rebellion against he-who-must-not-be-named and how he still keeps in touch with his friend Jaroslav Spacek to this day. That's when the second column starts, it's basically a full biography of Spacek's grandfather's life from growing up in Austria-Hungary in a world power empire to the fall of imperialism to the two Wars and then Spacek waxes poetic, off the record of course, of his time with the Habs, the thrilling playoff series and how awful it was to play in Montreal with such a brutal media, for which Stubbs apologizes profusely and spends the remaining few paragraphs covering his attempts to change the face of Montreal sports journalism - by sending encyclopedias and Faulkner novels to his contemporaries.
