He's a good defensive center because he blocks shots, hits and plays on the PK, what more can you ask from your 3C?
Boyle was exactly 90th in scoring amongst centers with 26 points and 83rd in goals scored amongst centers. Those are pretty much the typical numbers you should expect from a center that gets no PP time and spends the majority of his role against the oppositions top line players in the defensive end.
