Most of the time he was somewhat unimpressive in college, and I saw plenty of games. Lots of his passes turned into giveaways, and he did a lot of floating because his teammates didn't get him the puck. But it was the type of thought process that you just knew his skills would be better suited for a pro game. He looks like the culprit when his teammate is turned the other way after a Kreider touch pass and the other team comes in on an odd-man rush, but if it was Rick Nash he would be expecting that pass. It was a whole lot of ridiculous plays like that which made watching him at BC borderline agonizing.
For example, Sean Kuraly had a pretty pedestrian WJC this year, and his stats at Miami are sub-par at best. But I can see him becoming an NHLer player; he skates and stickhandles very well, and he's got plenty of size. Maybe not the best comparison, but it's just one of those "just wait and see" type of mentalities.
