Well, the RIGHT vet can bring experience, stability and leadership so I don't necessarily think bringing in the "right" vet is a bad idea. If he's the right guy, he can actually help the bonding of younger players and provide a stable environment and leadership. In effect, especially if Koivu goes down (which unfortunately seems to happen a lot) the Habs seem to lack leadership. I'm not advocating going nuts on UFA signings (in fact I like Gainey's approach). Still, I really think a guy like Peca could help a lot, but that's just my opinion.
