Ovechkin will never ever be traded for a player that will never come anywhere close to his level.
Seguin would probably fetch Joel Ward. Look at all the prospect deals - nobody wants to trade for some "potential", GMs need players, not some fans' pipe dreams of 21 year old forwards just doubling their scoring every year. Prospects and young players are insanely overrated here.
Nobody wants to trade for Ovechkin's potential either. If they trade for Ovechkin they are getting a $10 million per year 65 point player, Seguin gives you as many points for half the price.
