The Pittsburgh Crawfords are pleased to select HOF SS - Lou Boudreau. One of the great defensive shortstops of his generation, Lou was also no slouch with the bat especially during his magical MVP 1948 season as player/manager when he hit .355 and struck out a Ferris Bueller-esque 9 times in 152 games, en route to the championship. The Crawfords management also just thinks it's cool to have a middle infield of player/managers (with Frisch) who both won World Series titles while playing that dual role.

- BBHOF (1970)
- World Series Champion (1948)
- Last Player/Manager to win World Series
- 3 Times Top 5 in MVP voting (Won in 1948)
- 4 Times Top 5 in Overall WAR (inc. pitchers) (Led League 2 Times)
- 3 Times Top 5 in OBP%
- Led League in Fielding % 8 Times
- Led League in Range Factor 2 Times
- Ranked 12th best SS ever by Bill James
