It's ridiculous...ridiculous.

Robert Clarke was a no-class player. His vindictive mouth earns him enemies (and a conspicuous media presence). So, no wonder he takes his lumps for reckless trades (e.g Oates) and perceived overspending.

But you have to say that Clarke has snagged quite a bit of talent -- led by a proven coach (with previous company experience). He can get the players. Pitkanen for Fedotenko...Handzus and Esche for Boucher.

Now Comrie, a sparkplug with point-a-game possibilties, for a prospect and a low first rounder.

It's a coup.

Though not as good as getting LeClair and Desjardins for Recchi, then getting Recchi back for Zubrus.
