With the 176th pick in the draft, the Houston Astros select, 2B Joe "the Flash" Gordon.

.268 BA
253 HR
975 RBIs
54.0 WAR (202nd all time)
22.4 dWAR (23rd all time, 2nd amongst 2nd basemen)
.971 career fielding %
1x MVP
9x All-Star
5x World Series Champion

Joe Gordon had a short career that was ended much too soon by injury. As one of the core members of the Yankee dynasty, Gordon won 4 World series with the Yankees, and one with the Indians. Gordon's numbers stack up offensively with just about every hall of fame second baseman in history, and I can safely say that had the gold glove existed at the time, Gordon would have racked in at least 6 of them, maybe more. With a great glove, a penchant for winning, and some power, Gordon will fit in nicely in between Jimmie Foxx and Alan Trammell. The addition of Gordon now gives the Astros perhaps the most dynamic defensive infield in history, with an lineup of Robinson-Trammell-Gordon-Foxx.
